A Place To Stay In Derby is located on the Tasman Highway (A3) 95 km from Launceston and 64 km from St Helens on the East Coast.

From Launceston head to Scottsdale via Lillydale on the (B81) or alternatively take the Tasman Highway (A3) across the Sidling. Both routes will take about 1 hour.

Derby

Derby is 34 km (25 mins) from Scottsdale and A Place To Stay In Derby is located on the right hand side, on the corner of Main Street (Tasman Highway) and Frederick Street. Head up Frederick Street and A Place To Stay In Derby is the first property on the right with off street parking available under the carport.

Fuel and Provisions

Fuel is available at the Derby Service Station Monday to Friday and Saturday until 1pm only.  There is also a 24-hour pump at the General Store opposite the Federal Hotel. Fuel is otherwise available at the IGA Branxholm (9 km), Winnaleah(14 km) and in Scottsdale(34 km).  There are no food stores in Derby. There is an IGA in Branxholm and supermarkets and bottle shop in Scottsdale.

Bike Hire and Uplift Shuttles

There are two accredited uplift shuttle services running from Derby. Shuttles run between Derby, Weldborough, and the various trail heads including Atlas and the Blue Tier.  You may book uplift shuttles at the following web sites.

VertigoMTB  –  Book online – located in Main Street, Derby.  Opening Hours 8am- 5pm, 7 days.
